Once upon a time I might....
take some motifs which carry significance; eg, the bride and groom, the files, the fridge, the courts crest, the wig,, the antique wedding dress (photographed) ..... I create silk screens from photos and I then use a selection of imagery to create motifs ... With a mixture of scanning and potato block printing I utilise two 'extremes' technology and also, in a performative sense, mimic the actions - using finger paints and potatoes on the floor - of a 'pre-school' child- (like my father)!? The works are gestural and repetitive and lend themselves beautifully to wrapping paper.... The end.
