Hey Books...

I didn't read any of you while you surrounded me
You kept us alive and you were always reliable
When hard times fell down on us, you fell like rain
Some ethereal justice, of timing or serendipity bound us

up, unlikely, but we lasted longer than most
and it wasn't just about staying together for love.
It was real. But then, I started to read you.
I started to understand things behind your insulating spines.
