Clyde and Co - This Is Not an Advertisement

Too full of ourselves:

Turning a gut, in sight of the Gherkin
Grayson Perry and George Shaw. Light and dark.
Arty Speed Dating on the 13th floor.
Some feel awkward, some might thrive,

Ghandi's maxim: 'Find yourself by taking an interest in others'

Altruism's good for business.

"Say not what you want to say about yourself,
Say only what you think They might want to hear"

"get people to talk about themselves
so you can frame what to say about you."

Not so much: "I am the greatest thing since Caligula"
but more: "Worship me now in the east -
but when I am dead, you may worship me in Rome"

(Knowing what everyone else wants is also safer
when whatever you want just aint happening)

Other titbits of arts promoter logic and experience were spread
but in the end, what gave the game away:

We never ever met our hosts, who shall remain un-named except for in the title of this poem.
