Shakespeare LOL too many lines lines lines

I though to write a Sonnet, only knowing the form has 14 lines.
Of rhyme schemes, emphasis or other conventions I am un-wawre
Machoism, Sexual Politics and Gender roles all occur as possibles
But the truth is I know that many women, however – however,
Will leave the unmanly subjects of their affections – which is fine.
But to feel the NEED of manliness – to want to be everything,
is pressing on my mind with such power that I have no coherence of
thought left
which seems too long a line given the sonnetical ambitions of the piece.
I invent words all the time but am noticing a lag in my daily speech
I wonder early but have notified no-one of my suspicions of on-coming
mental infirmity.
Too long again. DO I have anything important enough to say?
Something that might justify my writing – or the so seldom occurrence
where by something written communicates and motivates to action?
Maybe. Maybe not. Just trust me when I say: “I know things”.
And accept my apologies for the final two, un-necessarry lines.
