Selfishness is not a sin. It is sometimes to be pitied though. This is because the quality and facet of having the ability to appreciate and take pleasure in the well doing of others is a gift. All be it a gift which comes from an unknown source [in life]. It is actually an angelic thing to be unselfish and rarer than most of the living appreciate. So, selfishness, by it,s varying incremeents, is a variable and all too willingly tolerated curse. Why should other peoples' happiness bring joy to ourselves? Once again, I beckon you towards the comments book as a power walking vicar passes by, personal stereo blazing with something seemingly unholy. I hope he is not oblivious to the sheer beauty of this place. [end still]
